Applicants to our Texas commercial driver’s license (CDL) training program must either possess a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent, such as a GED. Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent must provide proper documentation to the institute showing a graduation date or a transcript of the GED test scores. This will be kept on file by Showoff E&D ELDT Training School Inc.
Depending on the program, applicants may demonstrate their ability to benefit from training by passing an approved test. This would replace the requirement of providing a high school diploma or equivalent. This test will have been reviewed by a qualified, independent third party to ensure it is appropriate for admissions decisions. The third party will also determine the score levels that will be necessary for a student to be accepted. The goal of this process is to help ensure a substantial number of students will complete training and obtain employment in the industry for which training was provided. Admissions/ Training Requirements
1. You must be 21 years of age by the time the program is completed for an interstate license and 18 years of age by the time the program is completed for an intrastate license.
2.You must have an active Texas driver’s license before you can receive a Texas CDL
3.You must have proof of at least one (1) consecutive year of driving experience with a standard operator’s license issued by any state.
4. You must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently so that you are able to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
5. You must be able to pass a drug screen
6.You must be able to pass a DOT Physical
7. You must be able to pass a commercial learners permit

ABOUT THIS COURSES
ELDT Class A Theory $125.00
FMCSA Approved Theory Course. This training is only for the online requirement, you are required to take the ELDT Behind the wheel to obtain a CDL license for Class A with Airbrakes / without Airbrakes. Driver's license must be emailed for training to be submitted within 24-48 hrs. of completion of training to the FMCSA.
No refunds once purchased, and training completed, and submitted to the FMCSA. All trainings our verified IP address. You are not required to take this training if you already hold a Class A license. The Class A behind the wheel is a 4 -5-week training. You must enroll and pay an additional fee.
